The next meeting, Tuesday September 7, 2010, is the Annual Citizen Recognition Award and Member of the Year Night.
This year, there are thirteen (13) citizens being honored for their unselfish actions that have helped law enforcement in the performance of it’s duties. These people didn’t have to get involved, but their strong sense of duty to the community made it possible for them to aid our fellow officers. This night is theri night to be recognized and publicly thanked by the officers and agencies involved.
This night is also about the Member of the Year for the FOP and FOPA Lodges. These members have been influential in helping their individual lodges in some capacity throughout the years, and now they will recieve our thanks.
During the 76th Annual FOP State Conference held in Independence, Ohio on July 17th thru 20th, 2010, the following candidates were endorsed by the delegates for political office. After two intense days of screenings by the Endorsement Committee, the recommendations were put to a vote of the floor for acceptance. While not every candidate is the first choice for everyone, the committee and delegates felt that these candidates were very strong in the areas that the FOP deemed important for its members and the Ohio community as a whole.

A new family of Red Tail Hawks has taken up residence at the Lodge. The family consists of parents and a pair of babies. They can be seen perched on the light poles, on the roofs of the building, in the trees around the lodge, on the picnic tables in the shelter house, on the ground (as in the pictures) and even flying around Robb Park.
